Woman carjacked in Coolidge Corner

By Lindsey Stokes
Staff writer

Police in Brookline are searching for a man who jumped into a woman’s car and forced her to withdraw money from an ATM.

Officials say the woman was entering her parked car on Marion Street near Coolidge Corner when a man got in the back seat. The man forced her to drive to a nearby ATM, where he forced her to withdraw money. The man then told the woman to drop him off near Beacon Street and Park Drive. Police told the Brookline Tab he did not show the woman a weapon.

The woman called a friend who reported the incident to police around 10 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s or 30s wearing a dark grey or blue hooded sweatshirt.
