The exhibition “Material Matters” is on view in the Trustman Art Gallery until Mar. 2. This exhibition features work by Gerri Rachins and Stephanie Roberts-Camello. Both artists employ a variety of materials to represent their personal histories. An exhibition of Lauren Gillette’s work titled “Scarlet Thread” is opening on Mar. 14 with a reception scheduled for Mar. 16 from 5-7 p.m. Gillette explores the stories of women using text and quilting. On Mar. 30, Professor Suzanne Leonard will speak as part of the Gallery’s Lunchtime Lecture Series from 12-1 p.m. The Gallery is free and open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Visit www.simmons.edu/trustman for more information.
