Do you want to see the movers and shakers of Simmons College bust a wicked dance move with your fellow Simmons students?
On Friday night, Simmons College Dance Company (SCDC) will be hosting their annual fundraiser “Dancing with the Professors.”
This event brings the faculty, staff, and families of the Simmons community to the stage to compete alongside the dancers of SCDC. There will be a variety of dance pieces ranging from Jazz and Tap styles to Contemporary and Latin.
This year features returning participants like Dean Sarah Neill, Study Abroad Director Joe Stanley, and the staff of the Scott Ross Center. The dance company also welcomes newcomers such as the Director of Disability Services, Tim Rogers, Dean Leanne Doherty, the staff of the Admissions Department, and Bartol Dining Hall favorite, Carlos.
The dance company will also be catering the event, offering food and desserts to show-goers. Various raffle baskets will be available to win at the end of the performance.
The event will be held on the Residence Campus in Alumnae Hall and the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. The performance starts at 6:00 p.m. and will end at 7:30 p.m.
Come support the Simmons College Dance Company, the faculty and staff and, of course, your professors.
This event is free and open to all of the Simmons community.
