Oppa Sushi blossoms with creative food and atmosphere

By Jordan Jackson

Looking for a new sushi place to check out? You should definitely make your way over to Oppa Sushi. Located in Allston near the Harvard Ave. T stop, this sushi spot promises to be unique and a fun dining experience.

One of the great things about Oppa Sushi is its quaint atmosphere. Its peach-colored walls and small size give it a cheery yet cozy feel, all of which make it the perfect place to go if you’re looking for an intimate dinner with friends.

Their menu has an endless variety of Makizushi rolls, the most popular type of sushi in the U.S. They also offer items such as udon noodles and mochi ice cream, which my friends and I have thoroughly enjoyed on our many visits there.

In all of my sushi-eating years, I’ve never seen such creative presentation. Many of the dishes at Oppa Sushi are decorated with illuminated lights, and some of the rolls are crafted to look like friendly caterpillars and dragons. And they are just as fun to eat as they are to look at.

Best of all, Oppa Sushi is very reasonably priced and well worth the trek to Harvard Ave.  After a great meal of sushi you can head on over to a nearby frozen yogurt spot, or you can check out some of the trendy clothing boutiques in the area.  So, if you’re looking for a good meal on a Friday night, try something new and head on over to Oppa Sushi.
