Fall in love with fall

The leaves are changing color, the smell of pumpkin spice wafts through the air, and your Facebook and Instagram feeds are chock-full of apple-picking pictures.

Fall has arrived, and with it, some seriously fun autumn activities.  A favorite is eating an obscene amount of apple pie and cider donuts, but in case that doesn’t tickle your fancy, here’s a list of other fun things that might be a little healthier.

Copley Square Farmers Market
Mosey your way down to Copley Square for a feast for your eyes as well as your belly.  This weekly market offers up some tasty treats that are sure to satiate your autumn appetite.  The cider donuts and maple candies are reason enough to visit, but there are fruits and veggies too if you want to balance out your sweets.

Go Out to the Bar
Hit up your favorite bar and enjoy some seasonal brews,  but only if you’re 21 and over, because while Woodchuck is really delicious, it’s not worth getting arrested for.  Also, enjoy your harvest drinks responsibly because waking up with gross pumpkin beer burps  isn’t fun.

Fall Foliage Walk
Put on your autumn best, i.e. a cozy sweater and some boots, and stroll around the city looking for the prettiest trees.  While you’re at it, steal a rake, make a pile, and jump in said pile.  Just make sure Fluffy didn’t take a bathroom break in the close vicinity.

Movie Marathon
As soon as it’s appropriate to break out the boots, it’s appropriate to start watching Halloween movies.  And if “Hocus Pocus” isn’t at the very top of your movie marathon list, then I just feel bad for you.  However, include all four “Halloweentown” movies on your list and you will earn brownie points.

Apple Picking
Hop on the nearest train and navigate your way to the country.  Get ready for a fun-filled day of taking cute pictures, eating a boat load of apples, and frolicking through the orchard.  You can even cook up some apple delicacies and tell yourself that they’re still healthy because you’re just eating fruit, right?

Make your way to Starbucks, order a Pumpkin Spice Latte, take a pic, slap on an artsy filter, and instagram that bad boy.  While you’re there, order a pumpkin muffin and wait for the likes to roll in. There ain’t no shame in the #basic game.
