Personal style shined through at this year’s Grammy Awards, held in Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, February 2. Artists let their creativity not only come from their music but also from their wardrobes this awards season. Amidst costume changes and performances galore, here are my top 10 red carpet looks from the 67th annual event.

10. Omarion
R&B singer Omarion arrived in a cream-colored suit adorned with charms and pearls, paired with a statement necklace. His oversized attire was worn with a plain black shirt, belt and shoes. While an incredible look, I was looking for a little bit more out of the simple base, perhaps a pop of color.

9. Cardi B
Cardi B’s Roberto Cavalli Couture mermaid-style gown featured a tiger-print sequin bodice and feather train. The Best Rap Performance nominee had her iconic extra-long nails with black tips and her own rendition of pin curls to finish off the look. While a beautiful outfit, it couldn’t compare with the “Up” singer’s previous red carpet looks, putting her lower on the list.

8. Sabrina Carpenter
Sabrina Carpenter dawned a sky blue 1950s Hollywood-inspired Jonathon Anderson gown. The glamorous piece was feather-lined and its open back allowed the “Espresso” singer’s pearl and diamond backward necklace to shine. I was hoping her red carpet look would consist of her classic sparkles, much like her outfits during the Short n’ Sweet tour, though she did bring them out later in the night.

7. Charli xcx
Charli xcx arrived in a Jean Paul Gaultier ruffled corset gown. The Best Dance Pop Recording, Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Recording Package winner paired the icy gray dress with black, thigh-high boots with cutouts down the front. As a self-proclaimed brat, it hurt me to rank the “Von Dutch” singer this low, but her other looks of the night really took the cake. Her edgy black ensemble and blue suede bikini-jacket combo both paired beautifully with her iconic black rave sunglasses.

6. Doechii
Best Rap Album winner Doechii dawned a pinstripe, lace-up Thom Browne dress on the carpet. The “DENIAL IS A RIVER” rapper paired the off-the-shoulder gown with a matching tie and white button-up underneath. The rest of her outfits for the night followed suit, keeping the classic Doechii corporate chic look.

5. Billie Eilish
“BIRDS OF A FEATHER” singer Billie Eilish sported a gothic Prada number with a nautical flare. In true Eilish fashion, the black, boxy silhouette was paired with wire-framed glasses and a sailor cap. The outfit was quintessentially Billie, bringing her confidence to the red carpet.

4. Troye Sivan
“Got Me Started” singer Troye Sivan wore a sheer organza suit incorporating multiple shades of purple. The Australian pop star had a hand in creating the custom Prada ensemble, creating a uniquely Troye look. The various parts blended wonderfully together, making the outfit that much more alluring.

3. Chappell Roan
Best New Artist winner Chappell Roan stunned in a Jean Paul Gaultier multi-tiered gown, featuring works of impressionist painter Edgar Degas. Every piece was intentionally put together, from the boots to the dress to the gloves to the hairpiece. This eye-catching ensemble had so many remarkable parts, I couldn’t look away from the “Good Luck, Babe!” singer.

2. Janelle Monáe
Janelle Monáe rocked an Area power suit, the slouchy navy blue set embellished with gold Maison H chains. As a lover of all things hat, the police cap to match her suit was the cherry on top and brought the whole androgynous look together. It’s no surprise that even toned down from her usual avant-garde red carpet looks, Monáe secured number two on the list.

1. Clairo
The Massachusetts-raised singer stole the show in a custom polka dot corset dress by Miss Claire Sullivan. The Best Alternative Music Album nominee finished off the playful cream and black look with classic pumps. With so many unique textures and details, this one-of-a-kind gown absolutely blew me away, taking the number one spot.
