Anyone who is a registered or pre-registered Democrat in Ward 4 is allowed to run in the delegate election process. Boston Ward 4 covers the Fenway, Back Bay, and the South End.

“Our caucuses are a great opportunity to strengthen our party’s organization and to welcome new participants who are interested in getting involved in our Party,” Massachusetts Democratic Party Chair Gus Bickford said.

Once 19 delegates and four alternates are chosen, they will go to the 2017 Massachusetts Democratic Convention at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell’s Tsongas Center. While there, delegates and/or alternates will discuss and vote on a new party platform with other Democrats from all over Massachusetts.

“Delegates will be voting on our Party Platform in Lowell, and we want to make sure that every Democrat has a voice in this process,” Bickford said. “This is a time for all of us to come together and speak to our shared Democratic values.”

The Boston Ward 4 Democratic Town Committee meets regularly on the third Tuesday of the month at the South End Library.
